Today Mama Helen joined me at The National Women’s Show.

The drive downtown was bright and peaceful and the Metro Toronto Convention Centre had a great view no matter which window you took a peek out of. The show itself was a little overwhelming at first – SO MANY BOOTHS! So Mom and I started at the beginning and slowly made our way down the isles.
I won free tickets to the show from Minling Pan Studio (THANKS AGAIN!) and although she was busy when I finally got to her booth, I did get to take a look at the clothing. OMG they are beautiful! I’m thinking about checking out her Saturday Happy Hour Workshop where Minling will:
- Talk about what colours are your best colours
- Help you find out your personality style
- Guide you through our extensive racks of clothing and show you how to use clothes to flatter your skin tone and body type
Anyone want to join me?!?
Mom and I took home some pretty great stuff and got to learn about all kinds of brands, products, and stores. Most of the above are free samples BUT I did purchase the bracelet (for FIVE BUCKS) and a cream from Planter’s Natural Cosmetics (a cosmetic company from Italy). The cream is organic and smells delicious thanks to the almond oil – although they have a huge range of products to look at. Their Canadian supplier is Amabel Imports! I’m looking forward to trying out my samples of George’s Cream – my skin gets extremely dry and itchy in the winter so I’m always in the market for a new cream. The Cookie Messenger was one of my favourite booths! They had samples of their cookies (so yummy and moist) and displayed some of their cookie artwork! Their winter holiday bouquets would make a perfect hostess gift for this holiday season. I think my favourite bouquet is their “Forgiveness” one or as I call it “Babe I’m an Idiot and I Screwed Up, Please Love Me Still” bouquet.
Apart from nearly getting trampled on a few times and the traffic on the drive home, it was a wonderful Sunday morning/afternoon and I’m glad Mama was able to join me. I hope you all have wonderful Sunday!
Here’s a little quote to keep in mind for the new week:

P.S. I’m super bummed that there wasn’t a bookstore booth! Any bookish events coming up that I should attend/know about? Let me know in the comments

It is nice to hear that you had a good time at the National Women’s Show! Thank you for dropping by
